Where are my downloaded videos saved?
By default, the app creates a folder called Facebook Videos inside your Documents folder. You can change the folder by opening the desktop app and pressing the folder icon.
Why don’t I see a download icon on any video?
Open the desktop client and verify that the ON/OFF button is active. It should be colored dark brown: . Next, try to refresh the page of an individual video. Because FB is a single page application, a hard refresh might help reloading all resources required for a successful download button integration. Last, check if PC security program blocked our app. This happens sometimes and in order to fix it, you need to let us know which AV program you use. If nothing worked, please get in touch with us so we can fix the bug you found.
How can I download live videos when they don’t have a download button?
In order to download a live video, you have to first wait for stream to complete. Refresh the video page after stream has ended and it should have a download button then.
Can I download videos on mobile devices?
Right now, the only supported method of downloading Facebook videos is with a Windows 10 desktop app. A mobile solution is in the works, but we don’t have a release date yet.
Why can’t I download FB videos without an app?
In order to facilitate a seamless downloading feature for both public and private videos, the logic has to be stored locally on your computer and not depend on our server. FB also doesn’t like it when providers of similar services send too many requests from a single IP. A good middle-ground solution would be a browser extension and that is why we are already working on one.
Is Facebook Video Downloader safe to use?
Yes! When you download our installer, check that it is digitally signed by a certificate issued by DigiCert to Dancing Bytes. This way we can guarantee that the executable you downloaded really came from us and we stand behind it. Most AV software have no issues with it, but because it is an extensive app, it can trigger false positives with some protection software. If you let us know when this happens, we can get in touch with them and fix the problem. You can uninstall our program if you no longer wish to use it, but we hope that won’t happen:)
